CHARACTERIZATION OF THE SYSTEM OF PREVENTION OF PROSTITUTION AND THE CONNECTION WITH THE CITIZENS SECURITY OF BULGARIA
Journal Title: Knowledge International Journal - Year 2016, Vol 26, Issue 1
Abstract
The article analyzes the factors, methods and means of preventing prostitution, which lead to crime reduction and the increase of citizens' sense of security. The role of the Ministry of Interior and the judicial system are the key factor in the fight against organized crime and the detection of committed crimes.Crime prevention is among the priorities of the law enforcement system. Any deterrence of criminal activities through policies and actions reduces the potential and conditions for unlawful acts. The penalty justice system is perceived as a major step in the crime prevention and reduction. The qualitative preventive action to counteract prostitution at European, national and local levels requires the unification of the efforts of state authorities, local authorities, the private sector and voluntary organizations. The development of prostitution prevention activities in Bulgaria is subordinated to the different aspects of this activity at European level. The level of security in the European Union is a direct obligation of national law enforcement agencies.
