Charity in the development of educational institutions of the Ecclesiastical subordination in Volyn province in the XIX – early XX centuries

Abstract
The Article highlights the charity events that were aimed for improving the development conditions of the Orthodox educational institutions which belong to the Ecclesiastical subordination and poor students in the Volyn province in the XIX – early XX centuries. The personal charity and the charity of trustee associations was analyzed on the background of financial and material provision of the seminaries, the men and women's religious schools, parish schools and courses. Seminary students and students of religious schools did not have the proper financial and material support. Voluntary contributions, which were concentrated in the capital of trustees' associations and scholarship funds under the control of the diocesan authorities, partially solved the problem. The exception is the College of Pastoralism, which had a missionary orientation and a lot of money were spent on that by the Synod.
