Clarín Y Su Hombre Caído Relıgıoso Don Fermín: La Cáscara De Un Sacerdote

Abstract

Partiendo de la concepción de que la literatura está repleta de hombres caídos, y no sólo de mujeres caídas, que transgreden las normas impuestas por la sociedad, el presente artículo analizará las características que hacen de don Fermín de Pas un claro ejemplo de hombre caído religioso en La Regenta (1884) del gran novelista Leopoldo Alas Clarín. El artículo, al centrarse en las transgresiones masculinas— a diferencia de la mayoría de los estudios críticos basados en el adulterio del personaje principal femenino— proporciona un conocimiento más amplio de la novela, así como la relación de la masculinidad con la degeneración social. Asimismo, se analiza la voz narrativa y su actitud acerca de los actos del personaje (¿los rechaza o los respalda?), aspecto crucial para explorar el pensamiento en el siglo XIX acerca de las transgresiones cometidas por hombres.
