Comparative estimation of wear-resistance of steel and rubber coverages of surfaces of constructions of enterprises of mining and metallurgical complex at shock loading

Abstract

As lining-up materials of surfaces of bunkers, lowering of ore, shifting knots directly contacting with the processed material, wear-proof rubbers are widely used. Further introduction of rubberized coats instead of the metallic ones is restricted by the absence of methodologies of engineering calculations, grounding terms at which the wear-resistance of rubber coverages of surfaces of transporting and shifting buildings of the enterprises of mining and metallurgical complex working in the conditions of shock loading, does not yield to the metallic coverages. For determination of criterion of comparison of wear-resistance of rubber and metallic coverages in relation to the shock loading the classic theory resilient collision of bodies of Hertz is used, on the basis of which for the case of loading of the coverage with particles striking on a perpendicular to its surface, expression is obtained for stalling speed of collision, at which the strength limit of surface material is arrived at. Thus, set by the terms of loading of the coverage (closeness of material and radius of falling abrasive particles, coefficients of Poisson for particles and coverage, corresponding Young’s modulus for particles and coverage; speed of particles before hitting) the terms may be determined at which the wear-resistance of rubber coverage of surfaces of transporting and shifting buildings of enterprises of mining and metallurgical complex working in the conditions of shock loading does not yield to the metallic coverage, that allows to choose the material of protective sheeting of the equipment and constructions more reasonably.
