COMPETENCY-BASED LEARNING IN PROFESSIONAL FORMATION OF CHOIRMASTERS

Abstract
The author actualizes the problem of formation of choirmasters by examining the issue of organizational connection between a professional formation and the requirements of contemporary educational paradygm for professional training. Our contemporaneity requires its competency-based renovation by enforcing the practical orientation of professional training without leaving behind its fundamentality. The author studies the issue of educational process activization in higher education institutions of culture and arts through the re-orientation of professional formation to the practical training, to the development of students' ability to use the fundamental professional knowledge received in the university in their practical activities. The article describes the main directions of a music teacher's educational activities, the ways of formation of choirmasters' professional competency, pedagogical approaches and methods of effective organization and controlling of the educational process. The author summarizes the scientific data and her own observations and proposes a number of statements, principles and conclusions for the establishment of choir pedagogy regularities.
