PROBLEMS OF FORMING OF THE OPTIMAL MOUTHPIECE AND EMBOUCHURE PLACEMENT WHEN PLAYING TROMBONE

Abstract
The article studies problems of forming of the optimal mouthpiece and embouchure placement when playing trombone. It analyses concepts and views of reputable educators and methodologists on the specified subjects. It suggests the most progressive methods of mouthpiece placement on the lips and the optimal embouchure. The article considers problems of pressing a mouthpiece against the lips and the optimal degree of their tension in the process of playing. It gives some recommendations concerning avoidance of overdrying of a trombone player’s labial mucous membrane in the process of playing.
