Constructivist Foundations of Religious Education and Mind Maps as a New Teaching-Lear ning Material

Abstract

Constructivist foundations of religious education envisages designing the learning activities based material. With the use of materials, it is possible to learn more and teach more effectively in religious education. For this purpose a suitable teaching material as mind maps are meta-cognitive learning tool created to be seen as a whole of information relevant to an individual and are embodied. Mind Map is a visual technique. Concept maps are materials that most closely resembles the mind map. Mind maps are less known than the concept map. Although confused with concept maps, mind maps provides not only the concept also all the visual presentation of information and ideas. Mind maps in religious education are less preferred using, according to the concept materials. As a result, according to the constructivist learning approach mind maps are new material or technique that makes effective learning and teaching.
