Content of readiness of future bachelor nurses for professional activity

Abstract

he article analyzes the psychological and pedagogical essence of the scientific definition «readiness» and reveals the approaches of scientists to its structure. The readiness of future nurses to professional activity is seen as a requirement for the individual, which implies the ability to take responsibility for making decisions and the resolution of everyday professional tasks. Readiness is a kind of professional neoplasm that characterizes a new personality type of the future specialist in the medical sphere, which is formed as a special synthesis of various types of professional activity. In the structure of readiness of future medical bachelor nurses for professional activity, the motivational-valuable, theoretical-cognitive, practical-connative and personally-reflexive components are singled out. In particular, the motivational sphere is a complex systemic and holistic formation that embraces such personality traits as the orientation of internal motivation for professional activity and value orientation. The cognitive theoretical component covers professional knowledge of scientific foundations, facts, and the phenomena of its future professional activity. Practical-connative component reveals a holistic system of professional skills. The personality-reflexive component takes into account mercy and tolerance, which are recognized as extremely important for the realization of professional activity, as well as the ability to reflect. Under the criterion, we understand the sign, according to which the definition and assessment of the state of the formation of readiness of future medical bachelor nurses to the professional activity. The expediency in the structure of readiness of motivational, knowledgeable, active and analytical criteria is substantiated. It was established that the indicators act as a criterion meter and are considered as the basis for a qualitative assessment of the formation of the readiness for professional activity of future bachelor nurses, which allows to carry out a quantitative description of the manifestation. The need to evaluate the degree of severity of each criterion has led us to consider the issue of the level grading of the process of formation of the readiness of future nurses for professional activity. In the process of research, a decision was made on four levels: creative, adequate, reconstructive, reproductive. A quantitative assessment of readiness is determined by the level of formation of indicators, and a qualitative assessment will be carried out using specific questionnaires, questionnaires, tests, and business games, which will allow to assess the effectiveness of the training of future nurses with a bachelor's education level. From the methodological point of view, such readiness structure and level characterization will allow to compare the formation of readiness for professional activity of future medical bachelor nurses before and after the experimental study.
