Coping strategies and psychological protection as mechanisms of personality self-regulation

Abstract
The article presents the analysis of the problem of personality self-regulation. The viewpoints of the scientists on the problem of personality self-regulation and its mechanisms are represented. The coping strategies and psychological protection as mechanisms of personality self-regulation are defined. The results of the experimental investigation of the students’ priorities while using the coping strategies and mechanisms of personality self-protection are analyzed. The links of the individual style of self-regulation with the coping strategies and mechanisms of psychological protection are determined.
