Criteria for Selecting a Cloud-Based Learning Support System as a Part of Cloud-Based Learning Environment for Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the criteria and indicators for selecting a cloud-based system of training support for the preparation of bachelors of computer science. Taking into account the preparation peculiarities of bachelors of informatics in higher educational institutions and in accordance with the formulated characteristics of the cloud-oriented learning environment, which is a part of the cloud-oriented system of support for the training of bachelors of computer science, the following criteria were formulated: 1) General characteristics: reliability; accessibility; multilingualism; safety; adaptability; ease of use and administration; free of charge; 2) Specifications: access with access privilege, cloud data warehouse, integration with other cloud-based services, the ability to download different types of files; 3) Functional characteristics: user registration, communication between registered users, group creation, structuring, calendar, assessment of student achievements, file sharing, testing and survey, management of the course, organization of group and individual forms of work; Analyst for a particular course. The comparative characteristics of certain cloud-based learning support systems (Google Classroom, Moodle, Edmodo, Studyboard, Oracle, Learner Nation, iSpring, Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, NeoLms) are presented in all criteria and metrics. So, as the research shows, the most convenient and high-quality toolkit for all criteria and indicators is Neo Lms, which is the part of the cloud-based learning environment for the preparation of computer science bachelors.
