CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE FROM PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY CONSTITIENCY DEVELOPMENT FUND IN NYAKACH SUB-COUNTY, KISUMU COUNTY

Journal Title: International Journal of Marketing and Technology - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 8

Abstract

The paper suggests a review of the existing approaches to the analysis of the “project success” concept. It focuses on the exploration of possible indicators for its evaluation and the identification of the critical success factors. The paper considers in particular the critical factors of project success regarding projects funded by the national government constituency development fund. It suggests a version of a conceptual model for assessment of the effects of these factors on the project success. It reflects the experience of CDF implementers that actually participate in this process through management of such projects. For this purpose, the paper suggests a selection of the results from an empirical study of project success factors conducted in 2016 by a sample survey of managers and experts from relevant organizations.
