CRITICAL THINKING AS THE COMPETENTAL LEARNING TECHNOLOGY OF PHYSICS

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of critical thinking as a crosscutting skill of students, which is formed in the process of teaching various school subjects, in particular physics. Critical thinking as a pedagogical technology is characterized by a set of mental actions and communications that develop the person’s ability to adequately perceive information, acquire the ability to form their own judgments and thoughts, refl ections and self-perfection in the process of critical elaboration of their own experiences, etc. The description of the most common concepts of critical thinking and structural components of the corresponding models (development of critical thinking through reading and writing, APA Delphi, R. Paul & L. Elder, D. Cluster) is described. It is noted that as competently oriented technology, critical thinking includes: goals that refl ect the knowledge component, practical skills and abilities, the experience of using acquired knowledge and skills in life situations, and, fi nally, the value attitudes formed in the educational process. In the methodical aspect, on the example of teaching quantum physics, the possibilities of implementing a competently oriented technology of critical thinking in the teaching of physics are shown.
