CULTURE AS A VALUE SYSTEM

Abstract
The article highlights the development of axiology as a value theory of culture in the history of world philosophical thought. The author set a goal to reveal the meaning of the main categories of axiology of spirit, value, man, culture. Within the axiological approach, culture appears as a value-organized unity. From this point of view, there are great opportunities in the study of culture, analysis and explanation of its phenomena. Despite the continuing public interest, the value problem has not found a clear solution to the present day. The solution of the indicated problems in the development of axiology requires different approaches than those used before. This study is devoted to the search for such ways.
