CULTURE OF THE INTERPERSONAL INTERACTION OF FUTURE MUSICAL ART TEACHERS IN THE PROCESS OF THEIR VOCAL TRAINING

Abstract

The culture of interpersonal interaction is one of the most important components of person’s general culture the formation of which serves the needs of modern society, when there is a reappraisal of values and ideals, the search for new social attitudes and guidance. That is why it is necessary to acquaint future teachers of Musical Art with the basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills of interpersonal interaction culture within the system of their vocal training. The aim of the article is to reveal the content of the concept «future Musical Art teachers’ culture of interpersonal creative interaction» and to characterize the potential of their vocal training in this context. The diversity of interpretations of the concept «culture» and «interpersonal interaction» illustrates three main approaches to understanding the phenomenon “culture of interpersonal interaction”: cultural studies, which is associated with the characterization of the necessary changes in such a component of person’s culture as the culture of world outlook; technological component, which reveals the content of knowledge, skills and abilities, providing human activity in the process of communication (communicative competence); personal component, expressing the degree of person’s mastery in social information, a set of principles and real mechanisms that ensure positive interaction in the process of communication (the culture of interpersonal interaction). The presented approaches are most strongly reflected in the process of vocal training targeted to students majoring in Music and Pedagogics, since vocal education differs in the style of communication ‒ communication based on the interest of joint creative activity. This style of communication corresponds to the creative interaction of a teacher and a student; a teacher, a student and a concertmaster; a student and a concertmaster; a teacher and a student ‒ based on the principles of mutual understanding and mutual enrichment of each other, highly developed sense of partners’ emotional unity. The results of such interaction are revealed both in students’ concert performances and in the process of co-production at the stage of professional activities, where all the criteria confirming the formation of expert’s culture of interpersonal creative interaction are manifested. In the context of vocal training, we interpret the culture of interpersonal creative interaction of future Musical Art teachers as a quality of a person which characterizes individual’s internal aspiration to organize his / her behaviour on the basis of generally accepted norms of communication, which allows us to establish a constructive dialogue and achieve a high result of creative self-expression in vocal-performing and vocal-methodical processes on the basis of co-operation with various participants. The material of the article does not cover all aspects of the presented issue; it is an attempt to generalize its main provisions. The prospect of the study is seen in developing a system of forms and methods for the implementation of the competence-centred approach to the formation of the future Musical Art teachers’ culture of interpersonal creative interaction in the process of their vocal training at higher school.
