PHENOMENON «PROFESSIONAL CULTURE OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS» IN PARADIGM OF HIGHER PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract

The essence of the phenomenon «professional culture of future specialists of preschool education» is considered in the article. Socio-economic changes taking place in our society create a situation in which new requirements to the personality of the teacher are actualized. The problems of forming teacher’s professional culture are especially relevant for the system of pre-school professional education, where the specific conditions for pedagogical work are objectively formed. Some views of scientists regarding the determination of the essence of the concepts «culture» and «professional culture» have been represented. The notion «culture» is understood as the result of human activity in a historically concrete, definite way of relating a person to nature, to society, to himself / herself in the process of which people assimilate previously created values and on the basis of acquired knowledge, skills and abilities produce new ones, objectify subjectively acquired and assigned things. Culture facilitates self-improvement, satisfaction of individual’s needs, harmonization of relations between human being and society, human being and nature, society and nature. Professional culture is interpreted as a complex systemic formation, an orderly arranged set of universal human ideas, profession-oriented values and personal qualities, universal methods of cognition and humanistic technology of the pedagogical activity. When considering the theoretical aspects and content of the notion «professional culture of future specialists in preschool education» it can be stated that its content is narrower than «pedagogical culture» which characterizes the culture of any pedagogical activity. Pedagogical culture is part of common culture which is embodied in every type of culture linking it to a system of social inheritance. The professional culture of an educator is based on professional education and represents a complex social characteristic of a person as the leading subject of educational activity who reflects a level of his / her knowledge, skills alongside with his / her spiritual, moral and intellectual development. Thus, the review provides grounds to affirm that, in terms of procedure, the individual’s professional culture is a multilevel multicomponent entity, part of individual’s overall culture. Based on the analysis of the scientists’ views regarding the notions «culture» and «professional culture», the authors give their own definition of the phenomenon «professional culture of future specialists in preschool education», which we understand as an integral characteristic of a personality with a prominent socio-prognostic orientation and high creativity potential which creates the opportunity to transmit cultural experience and promotes its assimilation by children. The professional culture of future specialists in preschool education includes a combination of professional and social components: methodological culture, professional competence, a broad outlook, the humanistic nature of the pedagogical activity and creativity.
