Journal Title: Науковий вісник Південноукраїнського національного педагогічного університету імені К. Д. Ушинського - Year 2016, Vol 113, Issue 6
Abstract
Today, the health of our population, especially its younger generation, continues to worsen rapidly. In this regard, there is concern about health decline among students in their indifferent attitude to their own health, poor diet, lack of need for careful attention towards their own health and other people’s health. Currently, the state needs qualified, healthy professionals, capable flexibly to react and act within rapidly changing conditions. The competence approach seem to be important as it involves the attainment of personality’s vital competencies, health in particular. The problem of formation of valeological competence is reflected in studies of both domestic and foreign scientists V. Bobryts'ka, A. Gornova, I. Kozena, N. Novikova, V. Pishchulina, K. Abulkhanova-Slavske, I. Goslavski, M. Kukhareva, L. Lukyanova, A. Markova, L. Mitina, A. Petrov, A. Pometun and others. The aim of the article is to highlight the features of using interactive teaching methods in the process of formation of valeological competence of future teachers of mathematics. The study of this problem, the mastery of theoretical material allowed us to justify the choice of forms and methods of work that contribute to the formation of valeological competence of future teachers of mathematics. One of the rational means of valeological competence formation in the process of methodical training of university students is the use of interactive teaching methods in their practical training which «are carried out through active engagement of students into the learning process». For example, the technique of using the method of «Openwork saw». In the methodical preparation of future mathematics teachers, this method is one of collective group learning methods. Method « Openwork saw » teaches students to work in teams to handle a significant amount of information in a short period of time. In our opinion, the work with using the «Openwork saw» provides an opportunity not only to prepare valeologically competent professionals and develop in them a responsible attitude to their own health, but also to form the ability to use this method in the work with students. Active implementation of interactive teaching methods into practice is an effective and promising direction for the formation of future professionals’ valeologic competence, and, first and foremost, a future teacher, a future teacher of mathematics.
