DETERMINATION OF RISKS IN TRANSPORTATION AND CHARGING OF LOCALLY PREPARED EMULSION EXPLOSIVES UNDER THE CONFORMITY WITH THE STANDARDS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Abstract

Purpose. To determine risk factors during transportation and in the process of charging low-speed emulsion explosives of local preparation.Methodology.The method of mathematical analysis, based on the theory of probability, has been applied in the work. Methodology for determining the risks and the iracceptable levels for the declaration of safety of objects of increased dangerhas been used. Results.The problems associated with the assessment of safety and the determination of risk factors during transportation and during the charging of low-speed emulsion explosives of local production have been considered. A typical scenario for the emergence and development of an emergency situation during the loading, transportation and charging of an emulsion explosive has been developed. The probability of occurrence of all types of emergency situations has been calculated. The calculated value of social risks equal to zero has been justified. Conclusions have been drawn for the relatively high safety of using local emulsion explosives. Originality. For the first time, a mathematical assessment of the danger of transporting emulsion explosives has been given. The EU requirements for determining the level of danger of transport of dangerous goods have been used. Practical value. On the basis of the analysis, it has been recommended to use as much as possible the emulsion explosives of Ukrainian production for blasting operations in quarries. These explosives are the safest in transportation and charging of wells.
