Development of Analytical Method for Finding the High Risk Collision Areas
Journal Title: TransNav, the International Journal on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation - Year 2017, Vol 11, Issue 3
Abstract
The traffic condition has been analyzed by models that are based on Gas model and Obstacle Zone by Target (OZT) by using 1 year AIS data for Tsunami measure. By applying Gas model based method, it is possible to analyze the area in terms of ships’ relative angle, size, speed and density. The OZT is originally developed to show the collision zone on the target ship’s course. By using this method to the marine traffic analysis, high possibility of collision areas are estimated. Moreover, ships that courses are heading to OZT are identified and studied their position and how long they proceed course heading to OZT.

Development of Telexistence on a Ship by Using Satellite Communication
Nowadays shipping industry has problems such as reduction of mariners, aging of mariners, and labor expenses. To solve the problems, One Person Bridge Operation was developed as navigation supporting system. However, One...
A Study of Optimization of Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Eta Filter for Tracking a High Dynamic Target
The tracking filter plays a key role in accurate estimation and prediction of maneuvering vessel’s position and velocity. Different methods are used for tracking. However, the most commonly used method is the Kalman filt...
Study on Manoeuvring Criteria for Safety Assessment in Shallow Water
The necessity of verifying manoeuvring mathematical models in shallow water for studying the safety of ships using a ship-handling simulator is pointed out in this report. Several instances of verification of mathematica...
The Selection of Signals for Continuous Wave Radar which Reduce the Sensitivity to Doppler Shift of Frequencies
The signals with ideal correlation properties are of interest for continuous wave radar. At the same time it’s important to provide low sensitivity to Doppler shifts of frequencies. There were considered signals with sp...
