Development stages of methodology of teaching Russian language as foreign

Abstract
The article analyzes the development stages of methodology of teaching Russian language as foreign. The urgency of this problem is due to modern trends in the methodology of teaching foreign languages, the need to attract foreign students to the Ukrainian socio-cultural space with the means of Russian language as foreign and the need to create a special methodological system aimed at building the socio-cultural competence of foreign students while teaching Russian.
