DISCIPLINE «PROFESSIONAL MASTERY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER» IN PREPARATION OF FUTURE FACULTIES IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL CULTURE

Abstract

By the decree of the President of Ukraine, «Motor activity – a healthy lifestyle – a healthy nation» was approved as the National Strategy for Motor Rehabilitation in Ukraine until the year 2025. (09.02.2016). The necessity for increasing motor activity for the youth is emphasized. This is thereby connected to an increase in level of training quality within pedagogical personnel, in relation to teachers of physical education. In recent years, a number of dissertations were conducted on improving the efficiency of training teachers of physical education. A few of these dissertations were produced by N. I. Stepanchenko (2017), I. V. Shapovalova (2016). The negative moments in the preparation system for pedagogical personnel are revealed as the following: the predominance of theoretical instruction in relation to practical activities; difficulties surrounding the adaptation of young teachers in physical education prior to independent work within general schools; lack of interest within this profession showcases it is no longer a priority. Own preliminary research (2017) made it possible to find that only a small number of students consider the discipline «Profes-sional Skills of the Physical Education Teacher» as one of the leading disciplines. These results further contribute to the development of the professional competences. A survey was conducted using the students of the Black Sea National University, named after Petro Mohyla (n = 51) to determine the readiness of future teachers within physical culture, in order to carry out their professional activities. Almost 95 % of the participants responded to the most important professional skills. The skills mentioned for future teachers within physical education during the study at the university include the ability to both compile with a blueprint for the lesson, and conduct lessons of physical education with junior, middle and senior classes. Almost half of the students (47.06 % ) noted that the activities relating to teachers of physical education have its own specific skill set: it is necessary to apply an individual approach, pay attention to the level of physical preparedness of the child, and have methods of health diagnosis health. About 20 % of the students said that it is necessary to maintain a good physical form for the purpose of high-quality exercises during the lesson. Every fourth student noted that teachers within physical education should for example, have modern knowledge about athletes’ performances, and the formation of motivation for children to take up sports. 7.84 % of respondents indicated that the teacher of discipline «Physical education» should have a sports rank or a sports title. Almost 73 % of students believe that it is necessary to create conditions to stimulate interest in professional self-improvement in the field of physical culture. The plan for preparation of bachelors in physical education provides teaching in «Professional Skills of Physical Education Teacher», volume – 120 years, of which 15 years – lectures, 45 hours – practical course, the remaining hours – independent study of the material. All work of students for a semester is estimated at 100 points, of which 30 points – a score. The other 70 points are awarded for independent and modular control papers, abstracts, analysis of scientific articles, presentation «Innovations in physical education», compilation of the plan of the summary of the innovative lesson on physical education. Considerable attention is paid to research work: analysis of abstracts of dissertations in the field of physical education, articles in professional editions in recent years, studying methods of pedagogical research. Improvement of the system of professional train-ing for future teachers within physical education in higher education institutions can be accomplished by updating the programmed-methodical provision of training, in particular discipline «Professional Skills of Physical Education Teacher»: curricula, manuals, educational and methodological complexes.
