Abstract
In the article, on the basis of the analysis of foreign experience of the subjects of scientific and scientific and technical activity, the directions of improvement of functioning of these institutions in Ukraine are determined. It is emphasized that the existence of a significant number of problems in the field of the functioning of scientific and scientific and technological actors in Ukraine is mostly related to the ineffective management of such entities, duplication of functions of individual ones. However, it is stressed that one of the major problems of the activities of the institutions investigated is the problem of their financial support.
