Archibisova D.S, Suslov V.С. Ecological and economic efficiency of aquaculture development in the Black Sea region of Ukraine. Aquaculture is extremely important for many spheres of life and human activity - in healthy and full-fledged nutrition, environmental safety, the prevention of the extinction of valuable and rare species of fish and shellfish, for territorial development, etc. The effect of intensifying the production of seafood though contains negative phenomena, but they are much smaller than the benefits of aquaculture. In addition, when rational use of water resources and resources, artificial growth of hydrobionts has only positive features. In order to increase seafood consumption in Ukraine, a sharp jump in the development of aquaculture is required. It is thanks to artificial cultivation that can satisfy the demand of the population as quickly and environmentally friendly as possible. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to study the effectiveness of the use of water reservoirs of Ukraine in the rational and safe cultivation of fish products. Today, when water resources are integrated in the Black Sea region, it is necessary to store, multiply and increase the stocks of various species of fish and shellfish. Aquaculture is dynamic and diverse in nature. Of course, there are negative points in the water sector, but for proper use of water objects, their influence can be reduced or neutralized. Governments from different countries, the aquaculture sector, development organizations, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, private foundations and farmers play a role in the application of these recommendations. One thing is clear: increasing productivity and reducing the environmental impact of aquaculture, as well as providing safe, affordable and nutritious products to millions of people around the world, is the most important item on the agenda for sustainable food production in the future. Ukraine has considerable potential and opportunity to create a large number of small fish farms. There is a significant potential for the development of aquaculture farms that provide recreational services. According to expert estimates, farm (family) fish farms are the future of Ukrainian fish farming, therefore creating conditions for the development of this area of aquaculture and mariculture is a priority task.
