ELECTIONS IN 1946 AND UKRAINIANS

Abstract
The author tried to investigate the attitude of the Ukrainian population to the electoral system in 1946, and the influence of PCIA on its lead. The article deals with the attitude of the Ukrainian population to the electoral system in 1946. The article is investigated the opposition of the population to the Soviet electoral system. The author characterized political rights of the population, described moral and physical pressure on the population, the officials were involved, so the population supported the candidates of the ruling party. The article is described that the main goal of the resistance were armed actions, which were directed at disruption of elections. The author emphasizes that the peasants called for boycott the elections, sticked out the protest postcards. This investigated problem is extremely relevant, because it allows you to analyze the attitude of the Ukrainian population to the electoral system in 1946, to characterize activities of PCIA as the repressive part of the Soviet government, which controlled Soviet election campaigns.
