EMPLOYEE WELLBEING IN HEALTH CARE SERVICES: THE MODERATING ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BURNOUT AND TURNOVER
Journal Title: MANAGERIAL CHALLENGES OF THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY - Year 2018, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
While the employees’ turnover in the health care sector is generally a critical problem of the medical system, this represents an even stronger challenge for the developing countries. This paper investigates the burnout moderation effect on the relationship between the nurses’ job satisfaction and their turnover intentions in the Romanian health care services sector. The findings show a strong relationship between the burnout level and the turnover intentions and a negative relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions. The results reveal a weak moderation effect of the job satisfaction on the relationship between burnout and turnover intentions.
