ENONCIATION ET CONSTRUCTIONS DISLOQUÉES EN WOLOF

Journal Title: Studii de Gramatica Contrastiva - Year 2012, Vol 17, Issue 17

Abstract

Dislocated constructions are very common in Wolof. They have drawn the attention of researchers working on the syntactic aspects of the language. The studies and analyses on that issue are carried far well. The outstanding terminological discrepancies are due mainly to the diversity of adopted theoretical approaches. Besides, a coherent and evolving trend may be generally observed in this respect. This article aims at revisiting critically the main approaches underlining that evolution. The different arguments and reflections throughout are means allowing a better integration of the data provided by the language as linguistically relevant objects to theoretical analyses.
