Ethical Review of Medical Artificial Intelligence Application Technologies in Responsible Research and Innovation

Journal Title: Medicine and Philosophy - Year 2024, Vol 45, Issue 1

Abstract

"Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)" is an important theory to explore the application of artificial intelligence technology in the medical field at present, and it is also an ideal vision to guide the benevolent development of medical artificial intelligence application technology. Its basic structure mainly includes four dimensions: prediction, reflection, deliberation and reaction. At present, the application of medical artificial intelligence technology is affected by the "black box characteristics" of technology, exposing its ethical risks in security, privacy, morality, distribution and other aspects, and shackling its broad prospects for application in the medical industry. In the face of the ethical dilemma of medical artificial intelligence application technology, embedding RRI four-dimensional model throughout the entire process, from its technical development, design, application to monitoring, can effectively alleviate the ethical risks existing in the practice of medical artificial intelligence application technology, so as to truly realize its accurate empowerment for human health.
