Evaluation of anti-inflammatory activity of the leaf extract of Wrightia tomentosa. Roem & Schult

Abstract

The methanol: dichloromethane (1:1) extract of the leaves of Wrightia tomentosa (Family: Apocynaceae), a traditional medicine plant was tested for anti-inflammatory activity dextran induced paw edema in rats. The results revealed that methanol: dichloromethane extract significantly ameliorate the dextran induced edema. Acetyl salicylic acid was used as reference drug.
