Evidence for resonant bonding in phase-change materials studied by IR spectroscopy
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2017, Vol 20, Issue 1
Abstract
Phase-change materials (PCM) attract attention due to their unique properties. This remarkable portfolio also makes them promising for applications in novel data storage devices. In this study, we discuss differences in the optical properties of PCM and non-PCM in the IR caused by presence or absence of resonant bonding.

Low doses effect in GaP light-emitting diodes
The paper is devoted to the electrophysical characteristics study of serial red and green GaP light-emitting diodes (LEDs) irradiated with low α-particles doses (Φ ≤ 1012 cm–2). It was stated that radiation features of p...
Raman study of L-Asparagine and L-Glutamine molecules adsorbed on aluminum films in a wide frequency range
Using micro-Raman spectroscopy, a detailed study of vibrational spectra of L-Asparagine and L-Glutamine amino acids adsorbed on aluminum foils were carried out within the frequency range 80…3500 cm–1 under different exci...
Structure and Raman spectra of (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x mixed crystals
Mixed (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x crystals were grown using a direct crystallization technique. Being based on the X-ray diffraction data, their crystal structure was studied, showing face-centred cubic lattice for Cu6PS5I-ric...
Influence of inter-electron scattering on the form of non-equilibrium distribution function of band carriers
Consideration of different problems of physical kinetics shows that non-equilibrium distribution function of band carriers and, consequently, kinetic coefficients significantly depend on the specific shape of bands and m...
Long-term radiation-induced optical darkening effects in chalcogenide glasses
In this work, it is reported that the -irradiated (2.41 MGy accumulated dose) glasses As2S3 (2 mm thick) and Ge15.8As21S63.2 (1 mm thick), both measured 10 years after -irradiation, exhibit radiation-induced optical...
