So, the main feature of the presented materials is that the authors have considered the evolution of the concept of “mobility” trough the historical and practical perspective. The fact that the problem of professional mobility of future teachers of Physical Education is a new phenomenon in the national pedagogical science is proved in the article. The phenomenon of mobile personality formation in physical education encouraged the authors to create a scientific parallel of historical sources of mobility during the 19th – beginning of the 20th century. The emphasis is on insufficiently completed research of the problem of pedagogical mobility formation. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to analyze the formation of teachers’ professional mobility and to identify the factors that contribute to this process. The structure and historical features of the definitions are revealed: mobility, personal mobility, pedagogical mobility, dimensional mobility, mobile activity, and intellectual mobility. The pedagogical facts and terms that lie in the basis of these concepts are characterized, also the evolution of the changes in the contents of the above-mentioned terms and the scientific opinions about declared issues is analyzed. The author’s vision of the distribution of professional mobility types based on various characteristics, is presented, and the concept of “teacher’s mobility” as a defining requirement on the personality of a modern Physical Eucation teacher is substantiated and proposed. A comparative analysis of the “mobility” concepts interpretations has shown that their essence is considered in the context of competence with an attachment to the concept of “career development of a person during all life” and “personal mobility activity of a teacher” and can be considered from the point of intellectual mobility. The authors of the article found out that the concept of “pedagogical mobility” is considered as the readiness of the PE teacher to respond quickly to the change of professional tasks and the ability to make appropriate decisions. It is proved that the problem of professional mobility formation is an important quality of a modern teacher of Physical Education. It is necessary to ensure its formation during studying at higher educational institutions because it prepares future teachers for the changes that appears in our country in relation to the instability of economic development, which all spheres of life are dependent on. Therefore, further research will be aimed at identifying and approbation of pedagogical and psychological conditions for ensuring the effectiveness of the professional mobility formation of the of future PE teachers in terms of higher PE institutions.
