Exact Solutions for Variant Boussinesq Equations

Abstract
By using simplified homogeneous balance method,a nonlinear transformation from the solution for a linear equation to the solution for the variant Boussinesq equations was derived. The multiple soliton wave solutions,periodic solutions in space variable and rational function solutions of the variant Boussinesq equations were obtained via the nonlinear transformation with the aid of solutions for the linear equation.
