Examining and Identifying the Impact of E-Commerce in Small and Medium Commerce Firms

Abstract

Using e-commerce, the exchange of sales data and information for the transport of goods will be carried out effortlessly and banking transactions will be further accelerated. Firms do not have current constraints to communicate with each other, and their communication with each other is easier and faster. In other words, e-commerce is a generic name for a range of software and systems that provide services such as information search, exchange management, investigating the validation situation, credit granting, online payment, and logging and account management on the Internet. In fact, a technological advance has boosted trade. The importance of the applied ecommerce is to provide a new way of doing business affairs. Many people know the ecommerce as a solely selling or buying via the Internet, while this only forms a small part of e-commerce, and this concept now encompass a wide range of different aspects of business and economics. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of e-commerce on small and medium-sized firms. To achieve this goal, after reviewing the literature of the subject and exploring the previous articles, the determination of the reference framework of the research was carried out using quantitative research method (scanning) and completion of the questionnaire from small and medium-sized firms, to answer the research hypotheses. The population of the research was managers of small and medium-sized cooperative firms using simple random sampling and statistical sample size. Data were analyzed by SPSS software. The findings of this study indicate that the organizational factors, market factors and specific features of ecommerce are effective in the use of e-commerce in small and medium-sized firms of industries.
