Factors Influencing the Development of the Superior – Subordinate Relationship in Enterprise Management

Abstract
The article analyses significant factors influencing the development of relationships between superiors and subordinates in enterprise management. It addresses the problem of interpersonal communication, distinguishes its different types and investigates how the organisational culture affects superior-subordinate relationships. The author reviews the main theories of this interesting field of science, which is important for the proper functioning of organisations. In the world of shrinking distances and globalisation, it is indispensable for managers to be aware of these factors in order to gain trust and authority in teams of subordinate employees, thereby contributing to the success of companies they work for.
