Fatores que Influenciam as Atitudes Pró-ambientais dos Estudantes de Negócio

Abstract

The present study aims to identify the variables that influence the ecological awareness of students in the business area in two educational institutions. Therefore, a descriptive research was carried out, using a survey as a strategy for data collection, having a quantitative approach for the analysis. This survey was done with 257 graduates who answered a questionnaire containing 35 questions. The questionnaire was structured in two parts, the first one consisted of variables that had the objective of describing the sample, and the second had the objective of verifying the degree of environmental awareness presented by the respondents. The data were tabulated in a statistical package (Stata), and went through descriptive statistical analysis. Thus, we identified the variables that influence the ecological awareness of the undergraduates of those courses, as well as which variables are more or less relevant in the environmentally desired attitudes towards the environment. The results showed that the family is statistically significant in the acquisition of environmentally correct habits, besides the age, the course and the institution that they attend, as well as the fact of having children or not. Besides these, the self-image in relation to the practice of attitudes that minimize the dilapidation of the environment proved to be relevant for individuals to have environmentally correct attitudes.
