FEATURES OF CREATION IMAGE MALVA ON THE BASIS NOVELS OF DARA KORNIY: MYTHOPOETIC BASIS

Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of the mythology of Ukrainian fantasy literature on the example of the series of novels by Dara Korniy “The Reverse of the Light”, “The Reverse of the Darkness”, “The Reverse of the Essence”, “The Reverse of the Worlds”. The purpose of the work that is illumination of the unexplored parties of the problem of creating modern Ukrainian fantasy literature, is formed. The works of researchers who studied this area were named. The purpose of the article is to continue the study of issues that explore the field of Ukrainian contemporary literature, based on the basis of Ukrainian culture, in particular, the myth. Research of the typology of the heroes' characters, in particu- lar the definition of the role of the main character in the plot line of works. An analysis of the features of creating the image of the main character of Malvа. The study of the influence of Western tendencies on the creativity of the Ukrainian writer. The article compares the heroes of the mythological world of the novel and their prototypes in the beliefs of ancient Slavs. Attention is drawn to the innovation of Darа Korniy in the development of a new fantasy genre for Ukrainian literature. It also emphasizes the importance of preserving the sights of the Slavic pagan beliefs in the history of Ukrainian religions.
