Features of humanitarization teaching mathematics engineering students.

Abstract

Humanitarization is one of leading directions of education reform at all levels. Methods for carrying out the humanization of teaching mathematics to students of humanitarian and technical specialties have their own characteristics. These features are caused by the dominance in students of technical spe-cialties the left, and in the humanities - the right hemisphere of the brain. Humanitarization suggests a broad introduction to the process of teaching mathematics elements of humanitarian knowledge, the teaching of the subject on the principles of historicism, an acquaintance of students with mathematics biographies of artists, forming a complete picture of the world, in-creased emotionality of teaching and so on. Left hemisphere strategy of teaching mathematics leads to the introduction of historical and mathematical material in the form of oral and laconic reference to the material and producing of mathematical tasks, literary and musical material - in the form of didactic material for the general search and formalization of the language of math-ematics, for drawing mathematical problems. For this purpose, a list of mathematical miniatures and different ways to incorporate biographical information in lectures and practical classes in mathematics are made. For students of technical specialties are advisable more often than the humanities, to offer non-standard tasks, but with creative nature of the problem. The teacher should encourage the solution of problems in different ways, the rationalization of computer activity of students. In the teaching is logical to use the project method, the individual competition for the solution of mathematical tasks. The demonstration of mathematical laws in a variety of disciplines will contribute to a holistic view of the world and demonstrate the power of mathematics as a universal language of science.
