FEATURES OF SOCIAL SUPPORT OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD OF POLAND AND UKRAINE

Abstract
The question of social support for students with disabilities is becoming increasingly important for Ukraine after the beginning of implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and the need to introduce European social standards in this area, because, despite the adopted legislation, many areas of public life remain inaccessible for young people with disabilities in our country. In this connection it is necessary to study foreign experience of social support for students with disabilities to develop practical recommendations for improvement of this sector in Ukraine. For instance, at the educational level the following tasks should be implemented: improving specialized and individualized care of the child until the completion of her education; improving the efficiency of continuous multilevel educational process of persons with disabilities using appropriate learning technologies (es-pecially computer); making statistical research of special educational problems of young people with disabilities; improving the effi-ciency of innovative education; a broad outreach for inclusive education among parents and the general public; improving the pro-fessional skills of tutors (experts on distance learning), developing and carrying out programs supporting a student with disabilities, organizing conditions for successful socialization in society; activating institutions participating in the writing grants for additional financial assistance and vocational support; ensuring the adjustment of educational institutions to the needs of young people with special educational needs; establishing centers of assistance and social protection of students with disabilities at universities; intro-ducing professional courses that would meet the urgent needs of the market and individual capabilities of persons with disabilities.
