FORCED MEASURES OF MEDICAL CHARACTER AS ANOTHER CRIMINAL LAW MEASURE

Abstract
Forced measures of medical character is another criminal law measure different from criminal punishment, and devoid of punishment. By their legal nature, forced measures of medical character in respect of partially insane persons and persons committed a crime in a state of sanity, but afflicted with mental illness prior to sentencing or while serving a sentence, are a form of implementing criminal responsibility. In respect to insane persons, those measures are used as special security measures.
