FORMAL AND SEMANTIC PRINCIPLES OF INFRINGEMENT OF NON-SEGMENTED SENTENCES STRUCTURES
Journal Title: Scientific journal «International Journal of Philology» - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 292
Abstract
Introduction. The structural variety of the unphraseologized and phraseologized non-segmented sentences, the presence / absence of a stable structural scheme enables the creation of a common structural typology of these sentences, taking into account the specifics of the individual types, embedded in the structural and semantic typologies. There was no holistic study of all structural and semantic types of unphraseologized and phraseologized non-segmented sentences. Therefore, the structural-semantic typology of non-segmented constructions, based on two nodal concepts – syntactic connectivity and syntactic indivisibility, is proposed. Purpose. To substantiate the formal and semantic principles of systematization of syntactically non-segmented sentences. Methods. In the process of research, the following methods were used: descriptive, modeling, component analysis, and transformational. Results. The structural typology of non-segmented, actually-unbound sentences is based on the number of structural components and their morphological nature. Phraseologized sentences include phraseologized sentences with tautological components, semi-phraseologized, and partially phraseologized sentences. Their common structural feature is the phraseologized complex, which fills the bonding constants and variable components. The structure of phraseologized sentences with tautological components must be described based on the following criteria: morphological nature of the constant component; morphological nature of the variable components; the position of the constant component. These criteria enable the allocation of structural types of phraseologized sentences. In semi-phraseologized sentences, a permanent component is an organizational center. Constant and variable, for the most part noun or infinitive component, form a phraseologized complex, which possesses semantic integrity. According to the formal principle, semi-phraseologised sentences are divided into structural types, selected according to such criteria as the number of components in the phrase-complex, the morphological expression of the constant and variable components, and the position of the constant component. In quantitative filling of the phrase-complexes in the structure of semi-phraseologized sentences there are two-, three-, four-, and five-membered. In part, in a phraseologized sentence, the phrase-compound or phrase-particle-connective complex has a clearly defined position: the phraseologized integral unity takes the preposition in the sentence, and the conjunction begins with its second part. Phraseologized unity can combine three or four components. According to the type of categorical value, non-segmented, actually-unbranched sentences are three types: 1) with the meaning of «assertion»; 2) with the meaning of «denial»; 3) with the meaning of «expression of will». Phraseologized sentences with tautological components combine two semantic types: 1) with the categorical meaning of «assertion»; 2) with the categorical value «score», and semi-phraseologized sentences - four semantic types: 1) with the categorical meaning of «assertion»; 2) with the categorical meaning of «denial»; 3) with a categorical value «estimate»; 4) with the categorical value of «will». Four semantic types of partially phraseologized sentences: 1) sentences with temporal relations, 2) sentences with generalized conditional relations, 3) sentences with explanatory relations, 4) sentences with affective relations. Conclusion. Thus, the selection of the criteria of formal and semantic character made it possible to systematize the structural and semantic types of unphraseologized and phraseologized non-segmented sentences, which also filled the two-dimensional typology of these sentences in Ukrainian linguistics.
