Formation and transformation power structures of independent Ukraine

Abstract
The article deals with socio-political characteristics of the formation and transformation of force structures in state-building process in the independent Ukraine, their functional load and types of participation in the mechanism of political power. Also the problem of the place of force structures in the system of political power is conceptualized. The main stages of the transformation of the security forces, taking into account the political regime, perceptions of security and interests of the pro-government political forces, are described.
