FORMATION OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATORS’ COMPETENCE IN DESIGNING PUPILS’ PROSOCIAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

The article highlights some aspects of the problem of vocational training of future preschool teachers for competent elaboration of the senior preschool children’s pro-social activities. On the basis of modern scientific knowledge about the phenomenology of the vocational training targeted to the students majoring in «Preschool education», the validity to consider the degree of personal and professional reliability as one of the success parameters of future specialists’ vocational training in this field of educational work is justified. Taking into consideration the above mentioned perspective, the most fundamental research conducted in recent years are analyzed. We are talking about the most constructive approaches which allowed the researchers to experimentally obtain convincing results associated with upgrading the current university practice of training competitive specialists of preschool education. In particular, the productivity of implementation of the principles of diversification in the area of students’ education (freedom of choice, responsibility, the principle of personal orientation) is stressed. In order to clarify the main parameters of pedagogically sound strategies of the future preschool teacher vocational training in the framework of high school, the fundamental importance of students’ ability to self-control is emphasized. It is concluded that the improvement of the vocational training intended for the students, ready for a competent professional activity, lies in the plane of encouraging them in planning and forecasting their own professionally significant behaviour and activities of self-actualization. The significance of the «immersion» of students in specific facets of their future career as preschool teachers is disclosed. In this context, the achievements of the conducted research on the preschool maturity of the child are actualized. The relevance and timeliness of the analytical work related to the diagnosis of students’ readiness for projecting pro-social activities of senior preschool children - the segment of their future professional work considered in this article - is underlined. The author cites and analyses the diagnostics data of the students’ readiness for the designated type of the professional work of the teacher. In particular, the author discusses the data on the students’ self-evaluation judgments in this regard: approximately one third of the respondents noted their lack of preparation for projecting game activities (those of pro-social contents) of senior preschool children; only 4% of the students obtaining the specialty «Preschool education» at the University consider themselves «fully competent» to project pro-social activities of senior preschool children, in particular in the framework of educational programs «In the World of Nature» and «In the World of People». These educational lines specified in the educational program «Confident Start» are considered to be basic in forming the social competence of preschool children, the need to organize and focus the pedagogical efforts of high school teachers on the improvement of students’ vocational training in projecting is actualized.
