FORMATION OF THE FUTURE BACHELORS’ INFORMATION CULTURE IN THE AREA OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Abstract
Information and communication technologies tend to penetrate into diverse spheres of our life, science, education and manufacturing, which requires corresponding knowledge and skills to be used purposefully; there is also a need to form future specialists’ information culture. Mastering information and communication technologies as well as computure use seem to be an integral part of students’ training. There are represented theoretical substantiation and results of the experimental verification of the methods aimed at forming information culture of the the future bachelors majoring in preschool education. The interpretation of of the notion “information culture” given by different scientists is analyzed. It is affirmed that the problem of the formation of the future bachelors’ information culture in the area of preschool education has been insufficiently elaborated. The main stages of the experimental research (stating, forming, controlling) which presupposed the study of the state designating formation of the future bachelors’ information culture in the ares of preschool education as well as the methods aimed at the facilitation of its formation efficiency are described in the article. There have been defined the criteria and indices designating formation of the future bachelors’ information culture in the ares of preschool education (value- and content-oriented with the indices: information awareness, information activity, information readiness; profession- and activity-targeted with the indices: skills aimed at obtaining information from various sources; skills aimed at adapting and interpretation of information; skills aimed at adequate and complete conveyance of information; creative-reflexive with the indices: abilities for creative thinking, abilities for independent thinking, abilities for reflection). The formation levels of the future bachelors’ information culture in the area of preschool education (high, intermediate, basic) have been characterized. The diagnostic methods enabling the designation of the manifestation degree of the indices have been proposed; the system of their assessment has been elaborated. The generalized results of the stating experiment according to the described levels have been represented. To raise a formation level of the students’ information culture within experimental groups there have been elaborated and conducted a seminar-workshop and a training class «Opportunities of information-communication technologies in the development of students’ creative activity and cognitive independence». A controlling stage of the experiment involving the students of both experimental and control groups was conducted in order to verify the efficiency of the elaborated forming methods. There were used the same diagnostic methods at this stage of the research as at the stating stage. The results of the controlling experiment which prove the efficiency of the proposed forming methods are represented in the article. The perspectives of the further research in the framework of this problem are seen in the elaboration of the pedagogical conditions facilitating the formation of the future bachelors’ information culture in the area of preschool education.
