FORMATION OF VALUABLE ATTITUDE OF STUDENTS TO INTERCULTURAL INTERACTION

Abstract

In the article the formation of valuable attitude of students of non-philological specialties to intercultural interaction is consid-ered. Formation of valuable attitude enables to identify social determinants of behavior, the origins of which should be sought in morality and social everyday life of the person. Formation of values is a multifaceted and complex process. It is established that the specificity of awareness of objects of social reality as values implies the presence of special psychological mechanisms for this. At the forefront is a kind of psychological process, such as the evaluation of human activity, aimed at assimilating and understanding the objectively content of the object or subject, to assess their properties in terms of needs, utility, admissibility to meet the needs and interests of the individual, implementation of the goals of its activities. In the beginning of any activity there are needs, mediated by the psyche in the form of values that form certain motives and determine the specific goals. The author considers volunteer activity as an important factor in the formation of valuable attitude to intercultural interaction. Volunteer activity is voluntary, socially directed, non-profit activity undertaken by volunteers through volunteering assistance. Vol-unteer activity is free of charge and non-profit. It is based on the principles of legality, humanity and equality. Volunteering is con-nected with self-development, self-affirmation, understanding of the chosen specialty, the ability to develop abilities and skills, gain-ing experience and feeling of self-importance, and it is the need to be necessary and to do something special and important.
