FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC PARAMETERS OF EXPLICATORS OF DISJUNCTIVE RELATIONS WITH THE MEANING OF ALTERNATION AND HESITATION, DOUBTFULNESS

Abstract
The subject-matter of the research are the explicators of disjunctive relations with the meaning of alternation and hesitation, doubtfulness. The theme of the research is «Functional-semantic parameters of explicators of disjunctive relations with the meaning of alternation and hesitation, doubtfulness». The objective of the paper is to study the functional-semantic charge of disjunctive conjunctions to… to, chy to… chy to, ne to… ne to. The methodology of the paper is conditioned by the specifics of the theme and is based on such scientific methods as the descriptive and functional analyses. The academic novelty of the research consists in the profound study of the repetitive disjunctive conjunctions as the main representatives of disjunctive semantic-syntactic relations with the meaning of alternation and hesitation, doubtfulness in the functional-semantic dimension. The field of appliance of the obtained results is linguistics. In the course of the research, we arrived at the following conclusions that repetitive conjunctions to… to, chy to… chy to, ne to… ne to are of great importance in contemporary Ukrainian as they are the most active verbalizers of the category of disjunctive coordination. Although the repetitive conjunction to… to represents the least pronounced disjunction, it serves to express the alternation actions or processes. Besides that, it also expresses the disjunctive relations with the meaning of the repetitive replacement of some phenomena or actions by the others. The repetitive conjunctions chy to… chy to and ne to… ne to explicate the disjunctive semantic-syntactic relations with the meaning of hesitation, doubtfulness. The functional sphere of all the conjunctions in question is fairly wide. The further perspectives of the research consist in the deep analysis of other conjunctions from the analyzed group.
