Functions of the Teacher’s Professional Activity in Inclusive Education

Abstract
The article discusses the teacher’s professional activity in the context of inclusive education as a set of basic and additional professional functions, which are performed in close cooperation with social and correctional teachers, psychologists, medical workers and parents. The goal of these function is to ensure effective treatment of problems associated with psychological, pedagogical, educational, correctional and developmental work to foster the development of younger students with and without special educational needs. Inclusive education places additional demands on the teacher as part of his or her work involves identifying individual characteristics of children and their special educational needs, correcting violations and compensating for secondary deviations in students’ development, helping them integrate with society, counselling parents and promoting humane treatment of children with special educational needs.
