Furniture industry in domestic and international classification of economic activities

Abstract
Furniture industry in domestic and international classification of economic activities. The following article discusses classification of economic activities. The paper presents international, European and domestic standardizations, that is International Standard Industrial Classification of all Economic Activities, Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community as well as Polish Classification of Economic Activities. The article presents a short characterization of the above. It focuses on furniture industry which plays a significant role in Polish economy, especially as regards the international exchange. Documents acquired from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Statistics Divisions of the European Commission as well as data from the ordinance issued by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland were the primary source of research material.
