Gaps in the legal regulation of the State Border Service of Ukraine activities in the fight against terrorism

Abstract
The article considers the issue of legal regulation of the activity of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in combating terrorism. During the study, a number of gaps in the legal regulation of the SBGS’s activities in the fight against terrorism were identified.In our opinion, to overcome them it is necessary:firstly, to bring the normative legal acts of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine into compliance with the national counter-terrorism legislation; secondly, to create a legal framework for the joint use of various security structures during an anti-terrorist operation;thirdly, to develop normative legal documents and algorithms of actions of border guards in accordance with the powers specified in the Law of Ukraine «On combating terrorism». Consequently, the activity of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the system of anti-terrorist security of our state needs to improve its legal regulation and alignment with the standards of the leading countries of the world.
