Gençlerin Çay Tüketim Tercih Motivasyonları: Anadolu Üniversitesi Örneği

Abstract
Although tea has entered Turkish culture later, it has become an integral and important part of the culture. The consumption of tea, which ranks first when it comes to Turkish beverages, varies according to generations. It is noteworthy that tea consumption is decreasing especially among lower age groups, i.e. young people. The aim of this study is to investigate the tea consumption motivations of university students. Thus, the factors affecting the tea consumption preferences of university students will be determined. The research area is limited to the sample of Anadolu University. Quantitative data collection and analysis techniques were used in the research. The survey technique was used in data collection and the questionnaires were collected electronically between December 2022 and January 2023 through convenience sampling. A total of 410 questionnaires were evaluated. Descriptive statistics, t test and ANOVA were applied to the data obtained. As a result of the research, it was determined that the motivation of university students' tea consumption preference is economic factors and approval.
