GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF RESEARCH OF SOCIAL CONTROL AND LEGAL ORDER IN THE RENAISSANCE ERA

Abstract
The article examines the law genesis of social control and legal order during the Renaissance Era. It has established a multi-vector nature of views on the ideas of formation of the order and control. Thus, it was investigated that: 1) social and legal order was viewed as the result of inner harmony and the approach of a person to God (D. Alighieri); 2) public service and providing benefits, that manifested themselves in moral behavior, were considered as the basis of the order; 3) a great emphasis was placed on affirming the dignity of man as the basis of the legal order (D. Manetti); 4) the main method of social control was not coercion, but conviction, which was carried out under the influence of secular education and upbringing (F. Petrarca); 5) the philosophy of the legal order of N. Machiavelli differed from the prevailing humanistic tendency.
