GENRE FEATURES OF NOVEL BY IRENE ROZDOBUD’KO «LSD. LITSEY SLUKHNYANYKH DRUZHYN»

Abstract
The theme of the article «Genre features of love-detective novel by Irene Rozdobud’ko «LSD. Litsey Slukhnyanykh Druzhyn» («LOW. Lyceum of Obedient Wives»). The aim of the article is the analysis of the novel genre features. The set tasks are: to consider the peculiarities of artistic modelling of people and events; to figure out the genre features of developing the problems; to describe the artistic and stylistic decisions; to prove that the novel «LSD» («LOW») according to the type is – love-detective. Experimenting with genres, Irene Rozdobud’ko explained the relationship of modern man with family, friends and herself. Multi-dimensional per-spective of the novel: love and betrayal, loneliness and friendship, repentance and a defiance to the system, free creative work and the power of money, mercy and humiliation of a person, crime and punishment. Features of a love story are obvious in the depiction of beautiful and unexpected relationships of Pat and Lanza. The novel can be related to the detective type of literature due to the presence of adventures chain, investigations, criminals exposing. The plot contains the character types of criminal adventures: detec-tive Lantz is a musician; the offender is a rich businessman; his accomplice is Ms Head of the Lyceum. Paying attention to the hu-man search for happiness, the writer deals with social fiction. Special attention is paid to an unusual fraud connected with chemical-biological invention which destroys love and family. The fictional thing in the novel is the existence of an unusual object in the civi-lized social environment – closed Lyceum, which artificially brings up future wives to the rulers of the world. The specificity of the love-detective novel «LSD. Litsey Slukhnyanykh Druzhyn» («LSD. Lyceum of Obedient Wives») is a combination of different genre features of love, detective and social fiction. The novel needs the analysis in the context of multi-genre works by Irene Rozdobud’ko and modern Ukrainian literature.
