GOVERNANÇA E RENOVAÇÃO PEDAGÓGICA FRENTE À AVALIAÇÃO MODELO ENADE: UM DESAFIO A SER TRANSPOSTO

Abstract
Evaluating the learning process is a way of checking how it has been conducted, but its results do not always depend only on the students. They depend on the entire team involved in the knowledge creation and acquisition. This study aims to describe the new evaluation process created and implemented in the first half of 2015 by a Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Santa Catarina. Evaluation methods were adapted in order to make the students become acquainted with the method used in the National Examination of Student Performance (ENADE). Data provided by the Technical and Pedagogical Department of that institution, called Núcleo Técnico Pedagógico (NATEP), were used in this study, which is of a strictly qualitative approach. Those data support this experience report, which can serve as a guideline for other HEIs that, in recent years, have been challenged by the Government and the society to renew pedagogical actions in academic education. The analysis of the primary data is based on the opinion of students that participated in the pilot project of a plan named ‘Teaching With Excellence’ and the results show that it is possible to dare when the entire academic community feels challenged and committed to improve teaching quality.
